Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver diagnostic evaluations and personalized treatment programs to help patients achieve their maximum potential
Design therapeutic exercises and activities to boost strength, range of motion, and fine-motor skills
Instruct patients in adaptive techniques and equipment use for daily self-care like dressing and meal prep
Conduct home assessments and create tailored home programs for ongoing success
Provide specialized therapy for neurological integration, sensor-motor skills, and visual perceptual-motor remediation
Administer prevocational programs to prepare patients for work with assessments of organizational and cognitive abilities
Offer prevention therapy on energy conservation, joint protection, and safe transfer techniques
Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with schools, nursing homes, and hospitals for comprehensive care

Qualifications

Current valid WA state Occupational Therapist license (or in the process of obtaining)
Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree in occupational therapy
One year of experience preferred, but new grads warmly welcomed

Education

Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree in occupational therapy required

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in diagnostic evaluations, treatment programs, and sensor-motor integration
Skilled in therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and home assessments
Strong abilities in patient records, environmental design, and proper patient positioning
Proficiency in language, mathematical, and reasoning skills for effective patient care and communication
