Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional care to med/surg ortho patients on a 22-bed unit
- Masterfully manage 4-6 patients with confidence and compassion
- Perform essential procedures like IV insertions, catheter care, and central line maintenance
- Administer medications accurately while collaborating with the care team
- Document meticulously in Meditech EMR to ensure seamless patient records
- Float to other med/surg units as needed to support the team
Qualifications
- Active RN license in hand
- At least 1 year of recent acute med/surg experience, ideally 2+ years
- Proven ability to care for 4-6 patients simultaneously
- Bonus points for ortho nursing background
Education
- RN licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Acute med/surg expertise
- Standard nursing procedures including IVs and catheters
- Team communication and patient-centered care
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR
