Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation using CT and X-ray modalities
• Apply principles of radiation protection and professional judgment to ensure patient safety and image quality
• Maintain accurate patient records, departmental files, and participate in the quality assurance program
• Assist with CT/interventional procedures, including preparation, sterile technique support, and tele-radiology transmission
• Set up and run automatic injectors, manage contrast administration and adjust protocols by age group
• Transfer patients safely to and from radiology and provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan
• Rotate shifts and respond to on-call assignments promptly, supporting department coverage
• Support supply inventory, ordering, and daily/weekly QC tasks to keep the department running smoothly

Qualifications

• Current ARRT (Radiography) required
• Clinical competency required within 3 months of hire and then every three years
• Able to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality (CT/Xray)
• Willingness to be cross-trained and work in multiple imaging fields (XR, MRI, CT, Mammography) as needed
• Comfort assisting with invasive procedures and striving toward venipuncture competency
• Ability to take call and report to work within 20 minutes when required

Education

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)

• Quality assurance and equipment care
• Automatic injector setup and contrast administration knowledge
