CT Technologist
Location: Petaluma, CA
Start Date: 01-12-2026
End Date: 04-13-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating day shifts, 4x10 schedule (typical start 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM); shifts may also begin ~11:30 AM. Day shift; schedule days vary. May require occasional weekends, float between units, and on-call coverage as needed.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT and X-ray examinations, ensuring accurate, diagnostic images for patient care
- Operate fluoroscopy and C-arm equipment safely during procedures and in the OR when required
- Prepare and administer contrast media following facility protocols and patient safety guidelines
- Start peripheral IVs when needed and assist with image-guided procedures such as biopsies and drainages
- Process and post-process images using PACS and assist with multiplanar reconstruction for studies
- Chart accurately and timely in Epic to maintain clear, compliant patient records
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and OR staff to coordinate care for outpatient, ED, and OR cases
- Maintain equipment cleanliness, safety checks, and proper radiation safety practices
Qualifications
- ARRT (R) certification strongly preferred
- Current BLS certification required or obtained prior to start
- Fluoroscopy permit preferred or ability to obtain per facility guidelines
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience with CT and general X-ray required
- Experience with portables, C-arm, fluoroscopy studies, and OR imaging preferred
- Ability to chart in Epic and work in a community hospital setting
- Active state radiologic technologist licensure required (pending licenses are not accepted)
- Willingness to float between units and participate in on-call coverage
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in CT imaging protocols including vascular CTA, CT arthrography, brain perfusion, and abdominal/pelvic studies
- Proficient with X-ray exams, portable imaging, fluoroscopy, and C-arm operations
- Experience with PACS and Philips imaging systems and post-processing (MPR/MPR)
- Comfortable assisting in the OR for surgical imaging cases such as pacemakers and orthopedics
- Familiarity with contrast media preparation and administration, and safe radiation practices
- Capable of performing image-guided procedures support: biopsies, aspirations, drainages, myelography
- Strong patient communication, positioning, and triage skills across adolescent to geriatric populations
