Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT exams for Emergency Department patients, including trauma and extremity imaging
• Lead and execute stroke protocol imaging quickly and accurately to support time-sensitive care
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely, and start peripheral IVs as needed
• Operate Siemens CT equipment independently and troubleshoot routine technical issues
• Collaborate with ED and trauma teams during multi-scan trauma activations to deliver coordinated care
• Document exams and findings in Epic and/or Meditech, maintaining clear and timely charting
• Maintain patient safety and comfort, following infection control and radiation safety best practices
• Support special procedures such as CT arthrography, brain perfusion studies, aspirations and biopsies

Qualifications

• ARRT CT certification (required)
• Active California radiologic technologist license (required — pending licenses not accepted)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience, including Emergency Department or trauma imaging preferred
• Proven ability to work independently and confidently on a busy ED service
• Proficiency with Siemens CT systems is required; GE experience is a plus
• Experience with contrast administration and starting peripheral IVs
• Familiarity with stroke protocols, CT arthrography and brain perfusion studies preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong CT imaging skills across abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest and extremity studies
• Experience with Siemens CT; familiarity with GE a bonus
• Comfortable using PACS for image management and review
• Charting experience in Epic and/or Meditech
• Ability to perform special procedures: CT arthrography, brain perfusion, aspirations and biopsies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in fast-paced emergency settings
• Commitment to radiation safety, contrast media preparation, and patient-centered care
