Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiovascular Lab
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data continuously during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Communicate effectively and continuously with physicians about patient condition
• Prepare and assess procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness
• Assist with equipment maintenance and inventory management to support smooth operations
• Record and document patient condition and procedure details accurately
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities
• Support team members and contribute to a positive, patient-centered work environment

Qualifications

• Active state RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) required
• ACLS certificate required upon start and must be maintained
• DCI/BVP certification listed as relevant
• Minimum one year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area
• Familiarity with Prime skills/competency testing and rhythm interpretation

Education

• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hemodynamic and physiologic patient monitoring
• Perioperative care for cardiovascular procedures
• Patient assessment and rapid recognition of changes in condition
• Effective physician and interdisciplinary communication
• Cath Lab and cardiovascular lab workflow and equipment management
• Rhythm interpretation and basic cardiac pharmacology knowledge
• Experience with quality improvement processes and documentation
