Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations of all body parts for accurate interpretation
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment safely while applying radiation protection principles
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging files
• Participate in departmental quality assurance and daily/weekly QC tasks
• Assist with interventional procedures and prepare procedure rooms and equipment
• Manage contrast administration and set up/run automatic injector per protocol
• Provide safe patient transfer and venipuncture when required
• Rotate shifts and cover on-call responsibilities as scheduled
• Collaborate with referring physicians and support tele-radiology transmission
• Support supply inventory and departmental operations

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography
• Clinical competency to be achieved within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Able to perform diagnostic exams related to assigned modality (CT and X-ray competency required)
• Competence in sterile technique, contrast administration, and automatic injector use
• Comfortable assisting with invasive/interventional procedures
• Willingness to rotate shifts and take on-call assignments (20-minute report expectation)
• Strong patient assessment, communication, and teamwork skills

Education

• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) and Diagnostic Radiography
• Interventional radiology support and sterile technique
• Radiation protection and quality assurance
• Tele-radiology transmission competence
• Contrast administration and automatic injector operation
• Venipuncture and patient transfer skills
• Patient record maintenance and clinical documentation
• Familiarity with XR, MRI, Mammography, Ultrasound (ARDMS), and Nuclear Medicine concepts
• Ability to adapt protocols for pediatric and geriatric populations
• Troubleshooting equipment and participation in QC procedures
