Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders using evidence-based tools
• Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals that make a real difference in patient outcomes
• Deliver skilled therapy interventions and adapt approaches to meet each patient’s needs
• Document patient progress clearly and timely, collaborating with the care team for coordinated treatment
• Provide family and caregiver education to empower support outside of direct therapy sessions
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to advocate for patient-centered care and best practices

Qualifications

• Valid California license or eligibility to obtain a California Speech-Language Pathology license
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent clinical training
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or proof of supervised clinical experience
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills across pediatrics or adults (facility will specify caseload)
• Excellent documentation skills and familiarity with common clinical outcome measures
• Professional, collaborative approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare setting

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or related graduate degree) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in diagnostic assessments for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing
• Proficient in developing evidence-based treatment plans and measurable goals
• Comfortable with interdisciplinary collaboration and care coordination
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for patient, family, and team interactions
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities, adaptive equipment, and assistive communication devices
• Efficient clinical documentation and use of electronic health record systems
