Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate safe, efficient surgical procedures as the OR circulator
• Ensure sterile field integrity and proper instrumentation flow throughout cases
• Advocate for patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative team members to optimize care
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and case counts
• Anticipate team needs and proactively manage supplies and equipment
• Mentor and support perioperative staff while promoting best practices

Qualifications

• Peri-Op 101 Certification — required
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications — required
• CNOR — preferred
• Proven independence in Urology, Vascular, Orthopedics, Pain management, Spine, Eyes, and Plastics service lines
• Ability to work weekday schedules with variable start/stop times
• Valid clinical license as required by the facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing best practices and OR circulator workflows
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation and specialty procedure needs (Urology, Vascular, Orthopedics, Spine, Eyes, Plastics)
• Certification-driven emergency response skills (ACLS, PALS)
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and situational awareness in the OR
• Patient advocacy, infection control, and sterile technique familiarity
• Efficient case documentation and time-management during busy schedules
