Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure patients' drug therapy needs are met through accurate dispensing and clinical oversight
• Manage unit dose and IV admixture processes to maintain safe and timely medication delivery
• Provide clinical pharmacy services including medication reviews and interventions
• Oversee drug distribution procedures and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
• Teach and precept learners and staff, sharing your knowledge enthusiastically
• Perform administrative duties and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
• Design and participate in clinical research projects to advance patient care
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team and patients to support optimal outcomes

Qualifications

• Hospital pharmacy experience required; this is not a retail role
• Experience with unit dose systems and IV admixtures
• Comfortable with pharmacy computer systems and technical pharmacy practice
• Self-directed, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to comply with applicable State and Federal healthcare laws and regulations

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical pharmacy practice and medication therapy management
• Unit dose processing and IV admixture preparation
• Drug distribution systems and inventory control
• Teaching, precepting, and presenting clinical information
• Administrative processes, policy compliance, and quality improvement
• Research fundamentals and data-driven clinical inquiry
• Strong computer literacy and use of clinical/pharmacy information systems
