Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify medication orders and perform accurate order entry to ensure safe patient care
• Check and dispense medications with attention to detail and regulatory compliance
• Provide comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services that support clinical outcomes
• Rotate into ambulatory roles such as anticoagulation clinic or oncology when assigned
• Communicate clearly and professionally with providers, nurses, pharmacy techs, and other care team members
• Support care for diverse patient populations from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and facility policies

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania pharmacist license or eligible for reciprocity in Pennsylvania within 90 days
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy preferred
• Recent hospital experience preferred; ambulatory or clinic experience a plus
• Pharmacy residency and advanced practice certifications preferred when rotating to ambulatory roles
• BLS certification required for anticoagulation clinic rotations and must be renewed every two years
• Ability to work evenings and weekends with minimal supervision and strong teamwork skills

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (required)
• Doctor of Pharmacy (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Order entry and order verification expertise
• Medication checking and dispensing proficiency
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
• Experience with inpatient pharmacy workflows and ambulatory clinic services
• Strong interdisciplinary communication with providers and nursing
• Clinical patient care across age groups including geriatrics and pediatrics
• Familiarity with anticoagulation and oncology clinic processes is a plus
