Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality echocardiography and vascular ultrasound studies to support diagnostic care
• Operate ultrasound equipment safely and ensure proper image acquisition and documentation
• Independently manage assigned patient caseload and prioritize studies efficiently
• Maintain accurate, timely reports and patient records in accordance with facility policy
• Collaborate with physicians and the clinical team to support excellent patient outcomes
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance procedures
• Provide compassionate patient care and explain procedures to put patients at ease

Qualifications

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification — required
• Certified ECHO/Vascular tech (clinical certification in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound)
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a solo workflow
• Proven hands-on experience with echocardiography and vascular ultrasound procedures
• Comfortable with variable scheduling and adapting to changing clinical needs

Education

• RVT certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of vascular and cardiac sonography techniques and anatomy
• Proficiency operating ultrasound systems and optimizing image quality
• Ability to perform patient positioning and prep for cardiac and vascular studies
• Good clinical documentation skills and familiarity with diagnostic reporting
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner

This is a travel contract on Hawaii Island — enjoy world-class snorkeling and kayaking at Kealakekua Bay, explore historic Captain Cook sites, sample local Kona coffee on nearby coffee farm tours, hike coastal trails and lava fields, and visit Pu'uhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park.
