Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the OR for a wide range of procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and the perioperative team to coordinate efficient patient flow
• Prepare and maintain perioperative equipment and instruments to support successful surgeries
• Advocate for patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical experience
• Participate in unit orientation and adhere to site-specific policies and guidelines
• Support cross-coverage including pre-op as needed and participate in call rotation

Qualifications

• Active California RN license (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (as listed in the posting)
• Heart/ cardiovascular experience required for heart room assignments
• CNOR preferred (nice to have)
• Comfort working in multiple specialties (Robotics, Ortho, Ophthalmology, GYN, ENT, Plastics, Thoracic, General)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong perioperative nursing skills and OR workflow knowledge
• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Familiarity with perioperative equipment and instrument handling
• Ability to work effectively in teams, flexible and adaptable
• Procedure knowledge: Neuro, Spine, Total Joint, Gastric Sleeve, Major General Surgery, ENT, Pediatric, Urology, CABG and valve cases
• Comfort with floating to pre-op when needed
