Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs, observe residents for changes, and report concerns to the nursing team promptly
• Support mealtime and feeding assistance while promoting residents' dignity and preferences
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents and their families
• Assist nursing staff with transfers, turning, and positioning to prevent skin breakdown and promote comfort
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly with the care team to ensure continuity and quality

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania (required)
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization and screening requirements
• Comfortable working as part of a team in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; successful completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and activities of daily living
• Accurate vital signs measurement and documentation
• Basic infection control and safety procedures
• Effective communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
• Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
