Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for LTAC and MS/Telemetry patients on a 1:5 ratio
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to support timely clinical interventions
• Manage complex lines and devices including central lines, PICCs, ports, and peripheral IVs
• Deliver respiratory care support: ventilator and tracheostomy management, HFNC, and ABG interpretation
• Perform wound care including wound vac management and post-surgical wound care
• Administer and manage blood products, heparin and IV insulin protocols, and other medication therapies per facility policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (Respiratory, PT, Pharmacy, IV team) to coordinate patient-centered plans of care
• Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic to ensure continuity and quality of care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure — pending licenses are not accepted (must be able to practice in the assignment state)
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (explicit requirement)
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Proficiency with Epic charting system (charting in Epic is required)
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Competence in IV therapy, central/PICC line care, blood product administration, and feeding tube management
• Ability to float within similar units and work every-other-weekend schedule

• Care of complex LTAC diagnoses: sepsis, hemodialysis support, PEG/ostomy care, IV antibiotic management
