Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour schedule, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (three nights per week)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to high-risk antepartum patients (6–41 weeks) including PTL, previa, preeclampsia, diabetes and hypertension
- Support and assist with bedside sterile speculum exams and amniocentesis preparation
- Maintain and manage central venous access (CVC/PICC) and perform IV therapy/phlebotomy as required
- Administer and titrate medications safely, including anticoagulation, insulin drips and magnesium sulfate
- Circulate for C-section procedures and collaborate with the L&D team in the operating room
- Care for patients experiencing fetal demise or postpartum mothers with infants in the NICU with compassion and clinical competence
- Float to the Postpartum unit when needed, providing smooth transitions of care and interdisciplinary communication
- Use critical thinking to assess rapidly changing patient conditions and escalate appropriately
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington; compact license honored at Swedish facilities
- AWHONN Advanced (required)
- BLS and NRP (required); ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience; experience with C-sections required
- Ability to float to Postpartum unit
- First-time travel nurses are welcome
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong antepartum assessment skills and familiarity with high-risk diagnoses (preeclampsia, PTL, previa, diabetes, substance use in pregnancy)
- Proficient in sterile speculum exam assistance and bedside procedural support
- Experience with central line (CVC/PICC) maintenance and IV therapy
- Skillful medication administration including anticoagulation, insulin drips and magnesium sulfate
- Familiarity with PCA and syringe pumps, heparin management
- Operative support skills: circulating for C-section
- Comfort caring for postpartum mothers and coordinating with NICU teams
