Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor adult LTAC/MS/Tele patients, using telemetry and clinical judgment to detect changes
• Provide advanced respiratory care including ventilator management, tracheostomy care, HFNC, and ABG interpretation
• Manage vascular access and intravenous therapies including central lines, PICC lines, and blood product administration
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips per protocols and collaborate with providers on medication plans
• Perform wound care and Wound VAC management for complex wound and post-surgical patients
• Support renal care needs including pre and post hemodialysis monitoring and continuous bladder irrigation management
• Document thoroughly in Epic to ensure accurate, timely charting and seamless team communication
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners such as respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy and social services to drive patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state or ability to obtain prior to start
• Minimum 3 years of recent RN experience (MS/Telemetry or LTAC preferred)
• Travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS preferred
• Experience with ventilator care, tracheostomy management, and telemetry monitoring
• Comfort working a 1:5 patient ratio and floating between like units as needed
• Able to work every-other-weekend and adhere to facility return staff/contract limits

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Ventilator care and tracheostomy management
• Arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation
• Central line, PICC, and peripheral IV therapy management
• Wound care and Wound VAC experience
• Hemodialysis support and renal failure care
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) and oxygen therapy
• Familiarity with heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, and cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Phlebotomy and blood product administration
• Strong Epic documentation skills
