Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures ordered by physicians with confidence and accuracy
• Assess patients’ respiratory status, develop plans of care, implement treatments, and document outcomes clearly
• Run and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) to guide clinical decisions
• Perform and assist with intubation and advanced airway management when required
• Operate and manage ventilators and adjunct respiratory equipment for adult patients
• Serve as Lead RCP during shifts as assigned — coordinate care and support the team
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and complete required competency exams and skills checklists
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and licensure verification requirements

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Care Practitioner license (state licensure required)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification required
• Proven experience with adult respiratory care, including intubation
• Experience running and interpreting ABGs
• Demonstrated clinical documentation skills and ability to work independently or as a lead
• Ability to pass facility onboarding requirements (drug screen, vaccinations, fit test, TB, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong respiratory therapy and pulmonary diagnostics knowledge
• Skilled in arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis
• Airway management and intubation proficiency
• Patient assessment and care planning for adult populations
• Clinical documentation best practices and electronic charting
• Leadership and shift coordination when acting as Lead RCP
• Familiarity with ventilator management and respiratory equipment
