Shift Type: Open Per Diem — shifts vary and are assigned based on department needs (day, evening or night). Orientation: 1–3 paid shifts required depending on experience. Exact start/end times and recurring days vary by assignment.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide efficient, quality-oriented patient care within department policies
- Set up, operate and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment, including ventilators
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, inventory management and changes
- Support diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease through skilled respiratory therapy interventions
- Adhere to infection control practices and hospital safety procedures
- Participate in orientation and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
Qualifications
- RRT or CRT acceptable — credential verification required
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license/certification (license/certificate verification required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Completion of Fit Test and annual health screenings as required by the facility
- Compliance with facility health requirements (COVID-19 vaccine, TB testing/questionnaire, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, drug screen, health statement)
- Demonstrated experience with ventilator management and respiratory care equipment preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of ventilator management and respiratory therapy principles
- Skilled in equipment setup, maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Infection control best practices and adherence to departmental policies
- Patient-centered care and strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently on per diem assignments and integrate with unit teams quickly
