Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality anesthesia care across a broad surgical case mix including OB, general surgery, endoscopy, vascular, orthopedics, bariatric and UroGyn
• Perform spinal epidurals for labor analgesia (spinal epidurals required for CRNAs in this role)
• Collaborate closely with obstetrics and midwifery teams to support labor and delivery needs
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Epic to support continuity and safety
• Work within the hospital supervision model (1 physician to 3 CRNAs) to ensure excellent perioperative care
• Participate in pre-operative assessment, intraoperative management, and post-anesthesia care for adult patients
• Contribute to a low-pediatric-volume adult practice while supporting occasional pediatric cases as needed

Qualifications

• Active CRNA certification (required)
• Active New York medical/license (must be in hand for credentialing; credentialing timeframe typically 2-3 months and can be expedited)
• Experience providing OB anesthesia and performing spinal epidurals
• Comfort managing the listed case mix (General Surgery, Endoscopy, Vascular, Ortho, Bariatric, UroGyn)
• Experience working in a hospital OR environment and familiarity with supervision workflows
• Proficiency with Epic or willingness to adopt Epic EMR quickly

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical skills in regional anesthesia and spinal epidural technique
• Solid understanding of perioperative anesthesia management across adult surgical specialties
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, midwives and nursing
• Comfort using Epic for clinical documentation and order entry
• Ability to prioritize and manage patient care in a busy hospital OR setting
