Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients continuously, using sound clinical judgment to identify changes in condition and escalate when needed
- Create and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the care team
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately
- Coordinate transitions of care, ensuring clear discharge planning and patient education
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses thoroughly and professionally
- Support a positive patient experience by providing compassionate, respectful communication and advocacy
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) encouraged or preferred
- Previous medical-surgical nursing experience preferred, with strong patient care skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Current immunizations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or equivalent; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and clinical decision making
- Care planning and care coordination
- Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with medical-surgical patient needs and common interventions
