Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Perform safe transfers and mobility assistance while promoting independence
• Assist with meal service and ensure dietary needs and preferences are met
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Follow infection control protocols and facility safety procedures
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• GNA certification or equivalent required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or obtainable upon hire
• State required health screenings and immunizations (TB test, MMR, COVID vaccination as required)
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• GNA certification or completion of an approved nursing assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with activities of daily living assistance and patient hygiene
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Understanding of infection control and safety best practices
• Ability to work a night schedule and manage time independently
• Good teamwork, observation, and interpersonal skills
