Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents, ensuring comfort and dignity
• Monitor vital signs, complete assessments, and document changes accurately and promptly
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered with attention to safety and detail
• Communicate clearly with the care team and families to coordinate resident-centered care
• Support admissions, discharges, and transitions with efficiency and empathy
• Participate in care planning and quality improvement efforts that make a real difference

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Maryland (required)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Reliable, team-oriented, and able to thrive on night shift

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; high school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration, wound care basics, and resident assessments
• Comfortable using electronic health records for accurate charting
• Good communication and teamwork skills with residents, families, and staff
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Basic knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
