Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care during the night shift, supporting resident comfort and safety
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, mobility and hygiene with respect and dignity
Monitor and document resident condition, behavior and changes accurately and promptly
Communicate effectively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to support coordinated care
Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to maintain a safe environment
Support admissions, transfers and night-time routines to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

Active GNA or CNA certification valid in Maryland (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtainable upon hire)
Comfort working independently during night shifts with good judgment
Excellent communication and bedside manner — you treat residents like family
Previous long-term care or nursing home experience preferred but new grads welcome to apply

Education

High school diploma or GED
GNA/CNA certification as required by Maryland regulations

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
Accurate charting and documentation practices
Familiarity with long-term care routines and resident-centered care
Basic infection control and safety procedures
Ability to prioritize and manage time during busy night shifts
Team collaboration and clear communication with nursing staff
