Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assist residents with activities of daily living
Monitor and document resident condition and vital signs accurately
Support safe transfers and mobility, following proper body mechanics
Communicate observations and concerns to nursing staff and caregivers promptly
Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for residents
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families to enhance care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in North Carolina required
Active CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
Recent TB test and up to date immunizations as required by facility
Ability to pass background check and drug screen
Comfort with lifting and assisting residents as part of care duties
Previous long term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but new grads are welcome

Education

High school diploma or GED and completed CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of ADLs, basic patient care and infection control practices
Effective, empathetic communication with residents, families and team members
Ability to follow care plans and accurately document care provided
Basic vital sign measurement and reporting
Time management and teamwork in a fast paced care environment
Awareness of safety protocols and fall prevention strategies
