Surgical Technologist
Location: Spokane, WA
Start Date: 04-27-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 4-hour shifts; exact start/end times and days not provided. Orientation is required.
Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile supplies for surgical procedures
- Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and maintaining the sterile field
- Perform equipment checks and ensure all surgical instruments are functioning and available
- Follow strict sterile technique and infection control practices to protect patients
- Support turnover between cases to help maintain operating room efficiency
- Document case details and assist with post-operative room cleanup and restocking
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent education
- Surgical Technologist certification (CST) preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or required per facility policy
- Prior experience in the operating room is a plus; new grads with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply
- Ability to stand for extended periods, follow sterile technique, and work effectively in a team
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent training
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with perioperative instrumentation and sterile processing
- Knowledge of surgical aseptic technique and operating room protocols
- Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate surgeon needs
- Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with nursing and surgical staff
- Basic documentation skills and adherence to safety policies
