Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and nursing staff in performing surgical procedures with precision and care
• Collaborate with the entire surgical team to ensure the best patient outcomes
• Demonstrate clinical competence in surgical technical skills, sterile processing, and endoscopy
• Maintain a superior sterile conscience and consistently uphold sterile technique
• Communicate any breaks in technique to the circulating RN and surgeons promptly
• Ensure all necessary equipment is in the room and functioning before each case
• Operate electro-surgical, diagnostic, video, and specialty equipment safely and effectively

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification (BLS/BCLS) required
• Certification as an OR Surgical Technician required
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Orthopedic surgery experience required
• Must hold an active Colorado state license or compact license
• Ability to handle call rotation and holiday coverage

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in sterile technique and aseptic principles
• Proficient in OR equipment operation and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of endoscopy processing and materials management
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to adapt to various surgical specialties, especially orthopedics
