Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain sterile fields in the cardiovascular operating room
Assist surgical team during complex CVOR procedures
Ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are ready and accounted for
Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and respond quickly
Maintain a safe and organized surgical environment

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Previous experience in CVOR or cardiac surgery preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

Knowledge & Skills

Thorough understanding of sterile technique and infection control
Knowledge of cardiovascular surgical instruments and equipment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical demands
