Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality direct patient care to residents in a skilled nursing setting
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
• Monitor vital signs and communicate changes in condition promptly to the care team
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
• Support safe transfer and ambulation practices to reduce fall risk
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to implement care plans
• Maintain infection control standards and a clean, respectful environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current and valid CNA certification in California (required)
• Active state nursing assistant license or registry status as required by facility
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting is a plus
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA program and active certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing principles and resident care best practices
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control procedures and safe patient handling
• Good documentation skills and ability to use electronic or paper charting
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
