Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem
Location: St. Louis, MO

Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate respiratory care and treatments to patients in line with facility protocols
- Perform respiratory assessments, monitor ventilators, and adjust therapies under physician orders
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the care team to develop and implement effective care plans
- Document patient status, treatments, and responses accurately and timely
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training to stay current with best practices
- Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and ready for safe patient use
Qualifications
- Current Respiratory Therapist license valid in Missouri (required)
- CRT or RRT credential preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications a plus
- Comfortable working in acute care settings with strong clinical judgment
- Excellent communication skills and a team-focused mindset
- Ability to pass facility onboarding and background checks
Education
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in airway management, oxygen therapy, and ventilator care
- Able to interpret blood gases and adjust treatments accordingly
- Proficient with respiratory equipment setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Strong patient assessment and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
