Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 4-hour shift; exact start/end times and scheduled days to be confirmed with the facility (orientation begins 2026-04-22)

Candidate Pay Rate: $41 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate respiratory care to pediatric patients, making a measurable difference in their comfort and recovery
Perform respiratory assessments and implement appropriate therapy plans in collaboration with the care team
Operate and monitor respiratory equipment safely and troubleshoot as needed
Document patient status and interventions clearly and accurately in the medical record
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain high standards of care
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals to coordinate patient-centered care

Qualifications

Background in Respiratory Therapy (experience working with pediatric patients is a plus)
Current state Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility (verify local requirements)
NBRC credential (CRT or RRT) preferred or as required by facility
Ability to participate in orientation beginning 2026-04-22
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered mindset

Education

Associate's degree or diploma in Respiratory Therapy (or equivalent training)

Knowledge & Skills

Foundational knowledge of respiratory care principles and therapies
Familiarity with ventilators, airway management, and oxygen delivery systems
Ability to accurately monitor and document patient responses
Teamwork and collaboration in a multidisciplinary clinical setting
Comfort working with pediatric patients and families
