Location: Marrero, LA

Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Orientation: 9.5-hour shift (start/end times to be confirmed with facility; regular schedule TBD)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients, including oxygen therapy and airway management
- Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and other respiratory equipment with confidence
- Perform and interpret arterial blood gases to inform patient care decisions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document treatments and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record
- Participate in orientation and training to ensure a smooth transition into the facility
Qualifications
- Current Respiratory Therapist licensure for the state of Louisiana or eligibility to obtain one
- NBRC credentialing (CRT or RRT) preferred
- BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working with ventilators, airway devices, and advanced respiratory equipment
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Able to complete orientation and required facility onboarding
Education
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy required; Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Mechanical ventilation and ventilator management
- Arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and interpretation
- Airway management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol delivery systems
- Familiarity with common respiratory equipment and troubleshooting
- Clinical documentation and electronic medical record usage
- Infection control practices and patient safety protocols
