Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, asthma, pneumonia, and emphysema
• Manage mechanical ventilation and titrate support on ventilators such as Servo I, Hamilton, V60, and Astral
• Perform and interpret arterial blood gas analysis to guide treatment decisions
• Administer and monitor nebulizer therapy, CPAP, BiPAP, and other airway therapies
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated patient care
• Respond effectively in emergency and code situations using established protocols and certifications

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience
• Experience with mechanical ventilation and familiarity with Servo I, Hamilton, V60, or Astral ventilators preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Trauma experience is a plus and will be considered favorably

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation management and ventilator modes
• ABG analysis and interpretation
• CPAP and BiPAP setup and monitoring
• Nebulizer therapy administration
• Operation of Servo I, Hamilton, V60, and Astral ventilators
• Clinical documentation in Meditech EMR
• Strong teamwork, critical thinking, and patient-focused care
