Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare pediatric patients for surgery with compassion and attention to detail
Perform focused pre-operative assessments and document findings clearly
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient patient flow
Provide family-centered education and reassurance before procedures
Assist with medication administration and IV starts per facility policy
Complete thorough, timely charting in the electronic medical record
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) — active licensure required
Experience or familiarity with pediatric nursing and pre-op processes preferred
Comfortable working in a perioperative/pre-operative setting
Strong communication skills for working with children and families
Willingness to complete facility orientation and training

Knowledge & Skills

Pediatric assessment and age-appropriate communication
Familiarity with pre-op protocols and perioperative safety
Basic IV skills and medication administration knowledge
Accurate electronic documentation and charting
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment
Calm, compassionate approach to patient and family care
