Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 4-hour shifts (exact start/end times and days to be confirmed), Pre-op (Pediatrics), day shift focus
Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate pre-operative nursing care for pediatric patients
- Conduct focused pre-op assessments and ensure patients are prepared for procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative team to coordinate safe care
- Monitor and document patient status and vital signs during the pre-op period
- Educate patients and families about pre-op instructions and what to expect
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain high standards of care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or eligible for licensure
- Experience or interest in pediatric nursing; pre-op or perioperative experience preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- PALS certification preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with families and multidisciplinary teams
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Pediatric nursing principles and child-friendly communication
- Pre-operative assessment and preparation processes
- Safe medication administration and documentation practices
- Ability to perform and document focused clinical assessments
- Teamwork, situational awareness, and patient/family education skills
