Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shifts to ensure safety and comfort
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop/execute individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and transitions
• Document clinical findings and interventions in the electronic health record in a timely manner
• Respond effectively to emergencies, escalating concerns and communicating with providers as needed
• Support patient and family education with clear, empathetic communication

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required); ACLS or PALS preferred where applicable
• Comfortable and experienced with 12-hour night shifts and rotating schedules
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills; ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; dependable and patient-focused
• Previous acute care or med-surg experience preferred

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment, monitoring, and care planning
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Basic emergency response and stabilization skills
• Ability to educate patients and families with clarity and compassion
• Team collaboration, time management, and effective clinical judgment
