Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a mixed PCU/MedSurg unit
Monitor and titrate drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Perform hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Float to other PCU and MedSurg units as required, maintaining same level of care
Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and communication

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent PCU and oncology experience
First-time travelers welcome
ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Chemotherapy certification preferred
Ability to pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC EMR
Experience with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000) - training available
Comfortable with Alaris IV pumps
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Adaptable to a diverse patient population including different cultural and religious backgrounds
