Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating, with every 3rd weekend requirement

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-level care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Monitor and assess vital signs, administer medications, and manage complex medical equipment
Collaborate with neonatologists, midlevels, and a multidisciplinary team to create care plans
Educate and support families through the NICU journey
Maintain strict sterile field during procedures like central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertions

Qualifications

At least 3 years of Level 4 NICU experience required
Current BLS and NRP certifications (Cardiac STABLE preferred)
Proficiency with Cerner EMR
Previous travel experience is a plus
Ability to pass a pass/fail SIMs lab including Foley insertion and central line dressing changes

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes with sterile technique
Knowledge of neonatal diagnoses: prematurity, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical, ECMO, cooling
Comfortable with Phillips telemetry and ventilator management (RT manages vents)
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptability to fast-paced, high-acuity unit with 71 beds
