Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $73 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns in a supportive, close-knit unit
Manage labor inductions and augmentations with Pitocin, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate
Care for intermediate nursery patients, including ventilated infants (stabilize/transfer) and bubble CPAP
Act as a resource for fetal monitoring using the FE Centricity Perinatal system
Float and lend a helping hand to other units as needed, adapting to dynamic census changes
Collaborate with a small team where every nurse is depended on equally and backup is essential

Qualifications

Active Oregon RN license (or ability to obtain 90-day emergency license)
Minimum 2 years of recent L&D, postpartum, and nursery experience
BLS and NRP certifications required
Ability to work independently in all areas of care with strong critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in L&D, postpartum, routine nursery, and intermediate nursery care
Proficiency with Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate titration
Experience with ventilators (stabilize/transfer), bubble CPAP, and EFM
Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
