Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, self-scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population including oncology and trauma patients
Monitor and manage PCU and MedSurg patients with ratios of 1:4 PCU and 1:5 MedSurg
Administer chemotherapy and other medications, titrate drips like insulin and cardizem as needed
Utilize hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and educators
Float to MedSurg and other PCU units as needed to support team

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of PCU, MedSurg, or Oncology experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA)
ONS/ONCC certification preferred; Chemotherapy certification a plus
EPIC experience within 6 months preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Skilled in EPIC charting and Alaris IV pumps
Strong teamwork and communication abilities
Comfortable with a fast-paced, mixed-acuity unit
Commitment to hourly rounding and patient satisfaction
