Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend required. Self-scheduling available.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population including oncology and trauma PCU patients
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for adverse reactions (certification preferred but not required)
• Titrate and monitor intravenous drips such as heparin and cardizem
• Perform and interpret hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
• Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed, ensuring continuity of care
• Uphold patient experience standards with hourly rounding and respectful, culturally competent care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, Med Surg, and/or Oncology experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ONS/ONCC certification preferred (chemotherapy certification)
• EPIC experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to pass an open-book orientation exam with 90% score
• Driver's license required to verify 50-mile radius from facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of oncology patient care and chemotherapy administration
• Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management (training available)
• Ability to titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Adaptability to float between PCU and med/surg units
• Comfort with EPIC electronic medical records system
