Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating day/night, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, with weekend rotation (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule) and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population including medical, surgical, cardiac, and stroke patients in a high-flow PCU unit.
Titrate and manage drips such as Heparin, octreotide, and insulin, ensuring patient safety.
Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, responding promptly to changes.
Collaborate with a dedicated team including charge nurses and patient care techs to deliver seamless care.
Manage frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges with efficiency and positivity.
Float to Med/Surg and other units as needed, showcasing versatility and teamwork.

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state.
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Driver's license required for verification of 50-mile radius.
Ability to pass a pass/fail exam on orientation (open book, 90% required).
No artificial nails in patient care areas.

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry interpretation skills.
Experience with titratable drips and IV medication management.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication and adaptability for floating to various units.
