Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced Med/Tele/PCU unit
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, titrate cardiac drips like Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, and Nitro
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary team to manage patient assignments of 1:4-5 days, 1:5-6 nights
Deliver specialized care for conditions including cardiac caths, EP studies, pneumonia, sepsis, and acute-on-chronic conditions
Float as a helping hand to PCU or MS units as needed, ensuring continuity of care
Utilize Epic EMR to document and coordinate patient plans

Qualifications

Active and unencumbered RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or telemetry experience; first-time travelers welcome
Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
Proficiency with titratable drip management (Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac and telemetry monitoring skills
Experience with Epic EMR preferred
Excellent assessment and critical thinking abilities
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with a positive attitude
Flexibility to adapt to floating and changing patient assignments
