Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population on a 28-bed PCU/Med Surg/Oncology unit
• Manage patients with oncology diagnoses and trauma conditions, administering chemotherapy as needed
• Monitor and titrate drips including heparin, cardizem, and insulin
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and educators
• Float to med/surg and PCU units within your scope, ensuring consistent high-quality care
• Utilize EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps for seamless documentation and medication administration

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state) - required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Med Surg experience required; oncology experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA)
• ONS/ONCC certification strongly preferred; Chemotherapy certification a plus
• EPIC experience within 6 months is preferred but not mandatory
• Must be comfortable with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (training available)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in EPIC electronic health records and Alaris IV pumps
• Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, Aline, Swan, and EV-1000
• Strong teamwork and communication skills - 'Be the type of nurse you want to work with'
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, mixed-acuity environment
• Commitment to hourly rounding and patient experience excellence
