Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced PCU setting
Monitor cardiac rhythms, titrate drips (Cardizem, betablockers, seizure meds), and manage continuous EEG monitoring
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support unit needs
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients and families

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of PCU or telemetry experience preferred
Must pass a clinical skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
Driver's license required for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in titrating IV drips and managing cardiac medications
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Positive attitude and willingness to help others
