Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology, PCU, and med-surg patients in a 27-bed unit
Administer chemotherapy and manage drips like heparin, cardizem, and insulin
Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and ventilator status
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to same-level PCU units as needed
Participate in hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Oncology or MedSurg experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification preferred
First-time travelers welcome to apply
Driver's license required for verification of residency (50-mile radius rule)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in drip management (insulin, cardizem, heparin)
Experience with chemotherapy administration
Charge nurse experience preferred
Familiarity with Epic EMR
Ability to work in a fast-paced, mixed-acuity unit
Strong teamwork and communication skills
