Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, day and night options available, every other weekend. Schedules determined by manager.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiovascular intermediate care patients, supporting thoracic surgery and structural heart programs
Monitor and titrate critical drips including amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, and cardizem
Interpret telemetry strips and collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to same-level and lower-acuity units as needed
Participate in a supportive team environment focused on high-quality cardiac and vascular care

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1 year of CVU/Intermediate Care experience
Valid driver's license
Ability to float to lower acuity units

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titrating vasoactive drips (amiodarone, nitroprusside, nicardipine, epinephrine, cardizem)
Skilled in telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm management
Knowledge of cardiovascular and vascular diagnoses, including CHF, AFib RVR, CVA, and post-surgical care
Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula respiratory support
