Location: Grand Island, Nebraska

Start Date: 08-03-2026

End Date: 11-02-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend, holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and antepartum patients
Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs, titrate drips (Pitocin, Mag, Procardia) as needed
Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
Educate patients on breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery
Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
Valid driver's license (must submit at time of application)
No artificial nails allowed in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring and interpretation
Experience with high-risk obstetric patients (HTN, diabetes, preterm labor)
Knowledge of AWHONN staffing guidelines
Ability to titrate IV drips and respond to emergencies
Strong communication and patient education skills
