Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, holistic care to oncology and trauma patients from diagnosis through remission
Monitor and titrate drips including insulin and cardizem while ensuring patient safety
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians
Perform hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety
Float to same-level PCU and MedSurg units to support team needs
Deliver culturally sensitive care honoring diverse beliefs and backgrounds

Qualifications

Active RN license with at least 1 year of PCU or oncology experience
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Open to first-time travelers who are eager to learn
Valid driver's license required at time of submission
Must live outside a 50-mile radius of Omaha and have no prior employment with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Experience with EPIC electronic medical records within the last 6 months preferred
Familiarity with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
Comfort with chemotherapy administration and related protocols
Strong teamwork and communication abilities
Willingness to learn advanced skills like CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, and ICP monitoring on the job
