Location: Lakewood, Colorado

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable start times between 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM, primarily covering 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call requirements 1 night every 6 weeks including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care for diverse surgical patients including ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI cases
Monitor and respond to cardiac strips while caring for ICU patients recovering in the PACU environment
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal outcomes
Float to support other areas as needed while maintaining the highest standards of patient care
Participate in orientation covering both PACU and surgery center to build comprehensive unit knowledge

Qualifications

Current RN license with ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
ED or ICU experience strongly preferred for this fast-paced PACU role
Epic EMR experience to efficiently document and coordinate patient care
Ability to respond to call within 1 hour when scheduled
Willingness to float and support various patient care needs across the facility

Knowledge & Skills

PACU nursing with both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery expertise
Strong cardiac monitoring and strip interpretation skills
Epic documentation proficiency
Comfort managing ICU-level patients in a post-anesthesia setting
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
